Its function is to diagnose diseases and administer treatment to chronic and despairing sufferers through highly experienced and competent physicians of ayurveda, India's Indigenous Science of Medicine.

Until the end of 1983, all work pertaining to the production of medicines as well as the treatment of patients was performed within the framework of NAVJIVAN PHARMACEUTICAL WORKS only . But this dual function more often created bottlenecks and resulted in the delay to the treatment of overseas patients. This prompted Shri Param Jit Kumar to divide the work under two parts by leaving the job of producing the medicine to Navjivan Pharmaceutical Works and he established a new wing by the name of NAVJIVAN HEALTH SERVICE , for allocating the task of studying the cases and administering treatment to patients all over the world through individual basis.
During those crucial years Shri Param Jit Kumar made deep research into the etiology of bodily and mental diseases and also evolved a new science of Psychic Ayurveda , which enabled him to transcend all mundane barriers and tap the Cosmic Mind. He had at last reached the cross - roads of life and made his tryst with destiny. It was indeed a momentous stage which brought about the re - orientation of his entire outlook towards humanity and human ailments. Hence forth , problems of mankind constituted his life?s perspective. In Medical fields he started giving more importance to individual treatment by determining the composition of medicines according to the age , height , weight and sex of the patients. During the early nineties and until his death in September 1999 , he laid more stress on preparing the medicines on individual basis.
Shri Param Jit Kumar who was at the helm of a mission to heal humanity and wanted to eradicate deadly diseases from this World , was an unusual personality and a skilled physician in the Indian system of medicine , he was an impressive orator in English with a thorough knowledge of the recent history of this part of world. He was author of several books which were published in America and he was passionately committed to heal humanity.
