right diet -

 

A diet that might be Right for one person, might not be Right for another.  A diet for older teens is much different than a diet for seniors.  The body makeup is different; calorie needs and nutrient needs are different.
Healthy eating is not about strict nutrition philosophies, staying unrealistically thin, or depriving yourself of the foods you love. Rather, it’s about feeling great, having more energy, and keeping yourself as healthy as possible– all of which can be achieved by learning some nutrition basics and using them in a way that works for you.
Healthy eating begins with learning how to “eat smart”—it’s not just what you eat, but how you eat. Your food choices can reduce your risk of illnesses such as heart disease, cancer, and diabetes, as well as defend against depression.
You are what you eat."A home stocked with healthy foods starts with a head stocked with the knowledge of proper nutrition. Knowing what ingredients to buy is a good start, but knowing how to find those foods at the grocery store, how to read food labels properly, and how to prepare your meals in the most healthful way is important, too.You don't have to give up taste and satisfaction in order to eat healthy
Balance. A good diet plan would have a variety of foods from all the major food groups, with the right amount of macronutrients (fat, carbohydrate and protein) and rich in macronutrients (vitamins and minerals)

  • Greens: Greens are packed with calcium, magnesium, iron, potassium, zinc, vitamins A, C, E and K, and they help strengthen the blood and respiratory systems. Be adventurous with your greens and branch out beyond bright and dark green lettuce—kale, mustard greens, broccoli, Chinese cabbage are just a few of the options.
  • Sweet vegetables: Naturally sweet vegetables add healthy sweetness to your meals and reduce your cravings for other sweets. Some examples of sweet vegetables are corn, carrots, beets, sweet potatoes or yams, winter squash, and onions.
  • Fruit: A wide variety of fruit is also vital to a healthy diet. Fruit provides fiber, vitamins and antioxidants. Berries are cancer-fighting, apples provide fiber, oranges and mangos offer vitamin C, and so on.

The right diet would contain:

  • Adequate amount of protein like soya, black chana, or for the non-veg, fish and eggs.
  • Adequate amount of zinc and chromium which is easily available from nuts and seeds.
  • A diet comprising of 50% fresh(raw)foods and 50% of cooked foods.
  • Sulphur and Silicon in vegetables like broccoli, sea vegetables, onion.
  • Biotin found in brown rice and soya.
  • A little bit of the flaxseed oil for the essential fatty acids and also to maintain the ratio of the omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids.
  • All the B vitamins found in all the colored fruits like papaya, watermelon, oranges etc.
  • Vitamin C found in amla and all the citrus fruits.
  • Alfa Alfa sprouts or Alfa-Alfa leave extract or triphala daily

Triphala is one of the most popular Ayurvedic herbal remedies consisting of equal parts of three fruits: Harada, Amla, and Bihara. The three herbal fruits of Triphala promote internal cleansing, reduce conditions of stagnation and excess, and improve digestion and assimilation of nutrients.
Triphala is used to promote appetite and digestion, increase the number of red blood cells, and aid in removal of undesirable fat in the body. When dissolved in the mouth, Triphala is used to clear congestion and headaches. Other claimed benefits include helping maintain normal blood sugar levels, as well as improvement in skin tone and colour.
